The Town of Stratford completed a complete streets plan in 2017 to create a cohesive network of pedestrian, bicycle, and transit networks within the Town. The Plan recommends several multi-modal and pedestrian improvements for Elm and Main Streets, improving non vehicle options.

The former grounds of the American Shakespeare Festival Theatre hopes to soon house the world’s only Historically Accurate Re-creation of Shakespeare’s 1614 Globe Theatre, as part of the American Globe Center, which also includes the Stratford Playhouse - our Modern Performing Arts & Education Center and Multi-function/Event Space.
